Often people tell me that they join my classes for the simple reason that they don't want to set up crafts and projects up at home. As a mom of 4 I completely get it, but I also do have a knack for embracing the chaos and mess. A friend once said "I heard a rumor you allow slime in the house..."
We can never plan things the way we hope and sometimes you find yourself stuck at home looking for something to do with your little ones. Look here for seasonal craft ideas and other fun things you can do at home when you just can't get out. I hope you will come back to my blog often for ideas!
Tie Dye Apples: 15 Minute Art/Stem Project for kids of all ages!
The first fun Fall craft with a STEM twist uses items you likely have at home! You simply need a bowl of water, an apple or two, paper and food coloring.
Slice apples in half and make sure you show the kids that the seeds inside looks like a star! Put the apples in a bowl of water. Do they sink or float? Squeeze 2-3 drops of color onto the apples and watch the color absorb. After watching the apples for a few minutes stamp them on a piece of paper for a tie dye apple effect!
